VALDOSTA — Dr. Richard A. Carvajal, president of Valdosta Condition College, recently honored Dr. Roy Copeland with the 2022 Presidential Excellence Award for Services.

The Presidential Excellence Award for Company recognizes a college member who has demonstrated a potent and regular commitment to services at VSU and to the neighborhood.

Copeland joined the college of VSU’s Harley Langdale Jr. Higher education of Organization Administration in 2012 and currently serves as a professor of enterprise law in the Department of Accounting, while also maintaining a non-public regulation practice. He earlier taught in the university’s former School of Arts and Sciences.

Copeland enjoys teaching students about health care law and work law. His principal analysis interests are true residence and partition actions, “specifically the effects of those proceedings on heir residence,” he shared.

“I also take pleasure in examining several civil legal rights laws and their affect on the African American local community.”
