Former Australian cricketer Andrew Symonds killed in car crash

Previous Australian cricket star Andrew Symonds has died in a solitary-auto motor vehicle crash in North Queensland, police say.

The previous Test cricket all-rounder was killed in the incident on Saturday evening, outside Townsville, in which he lived in retirement.

Law enforcement reported the 46-yr-previous was driving on Hervey Range Street in the vicinity of Alice River Bridge shortly after 11pm, when his automobile left the road and rolled.

Unexpected emergency assistance workers attempted to revive him but he died at the scene.

Townsville Performing Inspector Gavin Oates mentioned the bring about of the crash was not known.
