Human rights experts investigating U.S. over police violence

United Nations human rights authorities on Friday accused U.S. law enforcement of violating worldwide legal guidelines and obligations prohibiting torture or other cruel, inhuman, or degrading cure or punishment in response to the the latest in-custody deaths of two Black adult men subsequent interactions with police in California and Tennessee.

Yvonne Mokgoro, the chairperson of the UN Global Independent Skilled Mechanism to Advance Racial Justice and Equality in the context of Law Enforcement, urged motion.

“The brutal fatalities of Keenan Anderson and Tyre Nichols are much more reminders of the urgency to act,” she explained in a information release.
