Man’s name released in deadly Huntington crash

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) – Huntington Law enforcement have launched the identify of a gentleman who died Wednesday morning in a two-auto crash at the intersection of Washington Avenue and West 16th Road.

Michael Lewis Meadows, 44, of Lavalette, died at the scene immediately after getting ejected from a Ford Mustang he was driving.

Police say Meadows was driving west on Washington Avenue when the driver of a pickup truck pulled into the Mustang’s path from West 16th Road. That is around the entrance of the West Huntington bridge that crosses into Ohio.

Two other individuals in the Mustang were being taken to the healthcare facility, but their accidents are not believed to be significant, police explained. The pickup truck driver did not want health care attention at a healthcare facility, officers say.

The crash was noted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The company’s warehouse supervisor, William Neace, claims he tried using to help Meadows before an ambulance arrived, but nothing could be performed.
